Careers in Law Fair (Thursday 10 October 2024) Key Details for Organisations: When: Thursday 10 October, timing 1:00 - 4:30pm Venue: On-Campus - McEwan Hall, Bristo Square, Edinburgh Cost: We have a range of standard and discounted options to make it as easy as possible for you to attend: £400 + VAT for Exhibitors paying via invoice £350 + VAT for Exhibitors able to pay online without an invoice £50 + VAT for Information Providers Our priority is to facilitate positive connections between recruiting organisations and University of Edinburgh students and graduates. We do not want price to be a barrier, if you are unable to afford the exhibition rate, you can get in touch with our team. Contact employers@ed.ac.uk Target student audience: The fair will be marketed to students from across our world class School of Law and beyond. It is ideal for promoting all your legal roles: traineeships, vacation work and specialist roles to students particularly interested in a Law Career. In line with when we have previously ran this event we would expect between 50 - 65% of attendees to come from our School of Law, the rest coming from other disciplines across the University – mostly other Arts, Humanities and Social Science subjects. Suitable for organisations who: Operate in Scotland, UK and/or international legal jurisdictions who wish to promote their legal career opportunities to University of Edinburgh LLB Law students/graduates as well as students studying other disciplines who are interested in legal careers. Very well organised event, beautiful venue, helpful volunteers. Exhibitor from 2023 students were well informed about our firm and their eligibility (ie. All non-law students knew they needed another degree) Exhibitor from 2023 Book Now (MyCareerHub login required) FAQs What is included in the cost? A space in the venue large enough for you to assemble a display of 2.5m maximum width. Use of a small table and 2 chairs Access to tap water for refilling water bottles - please bring your own, we will not be providing bottled water or plastic cups Teas and coffee - please bring your own reusable take-away cup if you would like to take your hot drinks to your exhibition area Light snacks - not lunch. In an effort to support local businesses and keep your exhibition costs down, we will be highlighting nearby local businesses where your delegates can purchase their lunch if they don't bring their own. Is sponsorship available? The sponsorship package is priced at £1800 + VAT, and the benefits include: Prime exhibition space with the opportunity to place a banner at the entrance. Logo placement on all publicity materials leading up to and during the event, as well as our on-campus screens. Opportunity to host additional activity outdoors on Bristo Square, subject to discussion and prior agreement with the Careers Service. The Careers in Law Fair is aimed at both talented University of Edinburgh LLB Law students/graduates as well as students studying other disciplines who are interested in legal careers. Our Discover Careers flagship event earlier in October is aimed at students from all degree disciplines - including Law. So if you are recruiting from multiple disciplines then Discover Careers may be an additional option for you. In the past this has included topics such as Careers in Patent work, Careers in Consultancy and Practising Virtual Assessment Centres.
