PhD Horizons: Career Insights for PhD students is the only careers event organised by the University of Edinburgh exclusively dedicated to the PhD community.  It aims to showcase the wide range of career opportunities outside of academia that are open to PhD graduates, encouraging them to think broadly about their options.

Discover Careers is our highest profile on-campus event in Semester 1. The event will provide a discovery-themed, exploratory welcome into the world of careers, employability and meeting recruiters for students from any discipline, any level of study and at any stage in career planning. It is a great opportunity for all kinds of recruiters to connect with our talented students and to collaborate with us as we jointly provide students with a fun and friendly first taste of in-person careers inspiration early in the academic year.

The Careers in Law Fair is designed to connect organisations with legal career opportunities in Scotland, UK and/or international legal jurisdictions with talented University of Edinburgh LLB Law students/graduates as well as students studying other disciplines who are interested in legal careers.

The Careers in Engineering Fair is a chance to meet motivated students from our world class School of Engineering, to raise your profile and promote your graduate, placement, internship roles.

From 14 - 18 October we’re running a campaign on Careers for Social Good to shine a light on a variety of third sector and public sector careers with social impact, providing insight, inspiration and advice for students and graduates.

From 6 - 15 November we’re running Careers in Sustainability to provide insight, inspiration and advice for students and graduates who want their career to contribute to a sustainable future.

Our Meet People in Life Sciences event will help you raise your profile and promote your graduate positions, internships and other paid opportunities that can come under the “Life Sciences" banner.

We run a campaign of events each year to help raise awareness of careers paths in the creative & cultural industries. The aim is to provide insight and inspiration and facilitate direct engagement between students and industry representatives who can provide information and advice on careers in their sector.
