Careers in Law Fair (16 October 2025)

The Careers in Law Fair is your opportunity to meet Scottish, English and international law firms offering opportunities to work in law. 

This event is open to all students interested in a legal career - it doesn’t matter what you study or  what stage you are at in planning your career. We want to support all students considering a career in law by highlighting the range of career paths and opportunities available in law to students from a range of backgrounds.

The event is open for you to drop-in between 1:00 -4:30pm on Thursday 16 October

​​​​Talks Schedule

During the day we will have a number of first-come-first-served talks for you to listen in to:

  • Talk 1 - 1:30 – 2:00pm: Routes to practise in Scotland with the Law Society of Scotland
  • Talk 2 - 2:30 – 3:00pm: Routes to practise in England/Wales with the University of Law
  • Talk 3 - 3:30 – 4:00pm: Routes to practise in the US with Barbri

Don't worry if some  names are unfamiliar to you - you can discover more about them at the event. ​​​​​We'll also have lots of careers service staff within the event who can help you to work out who you might like to talk to. If you would prefer to do some more research on the organisations attending before you come along, you can, but it's not expected.  Looking them up on MyCareerHub would be a great place to start.


You don't need to! Careers in Law is is designed to be a welcoming, easy to navigate, supportive, drop-in style event that has something to offer all students interested in a career in law without huge amounts of preparation required. Our staff, which includes lots of students just like you, will be on hand throughout the event to help you find something that’s useful for you. 

If you would like to do some preparation in advance you can: 

  • Do some research on the organisations attending before you come along. Looking them up on MyCareerHub would be a great place to start. If your time is limited, this may help you prioritise who you want to talk to.

There is no need to book. Please just come along on the day and swipe your student card or give us your student number to sign in.
